Each person in your group should then select a decade to research.

Begin by selecting a topic to research. Use the Big 6 Project Organizer to guide you through the project.

Fads & Fashions Crime

Inventions & Discoveries Role of minorities

Create at least five questions that you think will be important to be able to answer in each category. Answer the five questions in a two to three page paper. Some sample questions might be:
How does what you have learned compare and contrast from other decades?
What impact has the decade had on the people who lived it and on the future generations?

Become an expert in the decade by reading THREE sources of varied types of information, including your own textbook. ALSO, interview someone or read about someone who has experienced life in the decade of your focus. Select people who indicate that they have memories and recollections to share. Incorporate information from real people. A works cited page is required.

Present a "Day in the Decade.” Use a presentation format that best enables you to summarize information learned from your interviews, reading, and research. Help the audience live in the decade as well as to compare and contrast the decades. Answer the questions that have driven your project in both written and oral form. Your base of knowledge will be assessed in the way you present the decade as well as in the depth of your analysis. See Rubric:
